The 2018 ITF was held at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa from July 11-14, 2018. The hosts of the festival were Jonathan Allen and David Gier.
The festival had the largest attendance and vendor participation in the history of the ITF!
The breathtaking, newly constructed $198-million Voxman Music Building is a state-of-the-art music facility, covering a massive 190,000 square feet, across five floors, and is home to a variety of outstanding performing venues.
The University of Iowa is located in the heart of downtown Iowa City. While Iowa is mostly known for its well-known agricultural export, Iowa City is a city of the arts. In addition to being home to several art galleries and performances spaces, Iowa City is also a UNESCO City of Literature, the only city in the United States with this distinction.
With dorms, hotels, restaurants, and lots of other amenities within a short walking distance, and welcoming spaces within the Voxman Building, the UI College of Music was an excellent meeting place for the ITF community.
Rehearsal and concert spaces were not only conducive to outstanding musical experiences but were aesthetically inspiring as well. World-class performances in stunning venues!
